I’m so glad you have moved to the place you feel you belong… and reading this post could not have come at a more poignant time in my life. Your mom was a brave woman, and her move to England is very inspiring. Thank you for sharing this! And you are very courageous, as well!

I am contemplating a move to Colorado… and the idea is big and scary! I’m going to go check out Man on Wire!

hi Jessica,

I just bought your book yesterday and canNOT put it down. was wondering why I was feeling this kind of deep craving for seaweed and brown rice, and trying so hard to kick dairy and failing. I think I’ve found exactly the diet I need. feeling totally inspired by everything you’ve written and today I made miso barley soup and steamed veg/tofu with tahini sauce and I chewed it all a LOT and I feel like I’m onto something good. glad you’re happy and happening in California… did you leave any brilliant macro chefs behind who are offering cooking classes here in good old TO?

Hi Jessica! I’ve been loving macrobiotics ever since I discovered your book about a year ago. I’ve lost 35 pounds, and I have become a happier, more fulfilled person through the practices of eating this way. I just wanted to say that I check on your blog ever so often and really love it. I live in So Cal too, and I’m so excited you’re here and living near Eric and Sanea! I’m obsessed with their blueberry scones haha, they’re amazing. I wanted to wish you the best of luck, and also I was wondering if after some time you would consider offering group cooking classes or something? I’d be very interested and I know some of my friends would be as well. We’d love to help you feel welcome in LA!

Oh Jessica - I’m soooo glad to hear what’s going on - I figured it had to be part of the mourning process as I realized how I went through many different cycles also - and still going through. Still not clear to me where they (those who have died) have gone to - still not understanding life without them - and the strangest, thinking how I too will one day be gone -

so very glad you’re near Sanae and Eric - I’ve been reading a blog from those in their home - and it sounds lovely.

and you’ve got the beach there, too!!!!

it’s so good to hear from you again.
so you’re in california at the moment…the wether must be brilliant there…here in germany it’s a mix between summer/fall….the sun is shining and the next minute it starts to rain..
i really wish you lots of fun and fulfillment where you are right now and looking forward hearing from you!!
maybe with another book !?!
